Get to know the Tram route
Tampere Tram runs on two lines. Line 1 runs from Kauppi campus area (Tays hospital) to Pyhällönpuisto and line 3 runs from Hervantajärvi to Sorin aukio square.
Trams run every 7.5 minutes during the daytime. At transfer stops, passengers can change to buses under a covered platform without thresholds or the need to cross the street.

No need to wave hands
The Tram stops at every stop. However, feel free to wave goodbye for the driver or your fellow passengers.
Enter through the middle doors
Please be sure to give space to departing passengers first.
Each module of the tram has two ticket validators. Especially during rush hours, move further inside the tram from the door to validate your travel rights, so that others can also enter smoothly.
The stop areas, boarding the tram, and moving inside the tram are all accessible.
Buy the ticket in advance or with contactless payment
At the Tram, the driver focuses solely on driving. Use your Nysse travel card by showing it to the card reader. You can also pay with the Nysse Mobile smartphone app and contactless payment. With contactless payment you can pay only for your own trip. The device will charge you one price for the trips you make in 90 minutes. In addition, you can buy an advance ticket from Nysse Customer Service and most Nysse sales points. The ticket needed in trams includes zones A-B.
Validate your travel rights on each journey
Validate your ticket always when entering the tram. Show your Nysse travel card to the card reader. You can validate the ticket you purchased on Nysse Mobile ticket at the bottom of the card reader by aligning the QR code with the green light. The contactless payment terminal is on the left side of the card reader. A valid paper ticket for a bus trip does not need to be stamped, but it must be kept for the duration of the trip.
Be considerate of your fellow travelers
Enjoy the smooth ride and the scenery. You can even charge your phone using the USB socket. Ensure that others also have a pleasant journey. Therefore, give space to others and avoid standing in front of doors or ticket validators, keep your conversation volume moderate, and listen to your favorite music through headphones.
It’s best to enjoy your snacks after the journey. You can have drinks like coffee or other non-alcoholic beverages in sealable cups or bottles. The use of intoxicants and tobacco products during the journey and at stops is prohibited.
Safely in the Tram
The Tram runs smoothly, but be prepared for swings and sudden stops. Always hold onto a pole or strap if you are standing while traveling on the Tram. Take support when paying or moving inside the Tram. Also, ensure that any items you are travelling with, such as a bicycle, are securely supported.
Accessible ride – you can even bring your bike along
The Tram has space for wheelchairs and walkers. The needs of the visually impaired and blind are also taken into account. You can bring a bicycle or a stroller on board as well. However, during peak hours, we cannot guarantee a space for bicycles or strollers.
Trams and buses have common travel rules
Passengers with a wheel chair or rollator travel in the tram free of charge. The assistant’s trip is included if the destination is shared. The Tram trip is also free of charge for passengers with prams and pushchairs, children under the age of 7 and for pets. Big means of transport such as bicycles and electric scooters require the purchase of a single ticket.
Furry friends are also welcome aboard
Pets are also allowed to travel in the Tram. There are marked places in the Tram, although they are primarily designed for those traveling with a guide dog. Those traveling with a pet can sit, for example, in the multipurpose area of the Tram. There is no separate charge for pets

The Tram stops at every stop. If needed, the doors can be opened by the passenger by pressing the Nysse button. Move forward to the platform from the middle doors or side doors.
If your movement is slow, there is a yellow slow-mover button inside the tram next to the wheelchair spaces. By pressing this button, the driver will know to stay stopped longer than usual.

Acting in an emergency situation
Use the SOS button in an emergency
The Tram has an SOS button for emergencies. If there is serious disturbance in the tram, use the SOS button to open a voice connection with the driver. The driver will call for assistance if necessary. You can recognize the SOS button by the green SOS sign next to it.
