Laura Gröndahl will design fabrics for Tampere Tramway13.3.2019
Designer (UAS) Laura Gröndahl has been selected to design fabrics for Tampere Tramway. The designer was chosen on the basis of jury votes and public votes submitted online during Tampere Tramway's Maketti display. Helena Hyvönen was the public’s favourite, and she also received a prize. Public votes counted for 20% in the selection process.

A full-scale model of Tampere Tramway was on display from 21–26 February 2019 in the Sorsapuistosali space at Tampere Hall. The event attracted over 15,000 visitors over a 6-day period.

The fabric designer for Tampere Tramway will be selected on the basis of public and jury voting held on 21–26 February 2018. At that time, the fabric options and designers will be presented to the public in conjunction with the Tampere Tram Mock-up Exhibition being held at Tampere Hall.

Tampere residents chose a red tram car1.10.2018
In a public vote on tram car colour, the red option received 13,867 votes, which was 59% of all votes. The other colour option – light blue – received 9,711 votes and placed second in the vote. This result means that the Tampere cityscape will have a red tramway starting in 2021. A total of 23,578 votes were submitted during a public vote held in conjunction with the Tampere Day event weekend.
